The founders who solved their own problems
The problem
In 2015, Jack's first job was tracking budgets and operational metrics at a property management company. The software they relied on cost $10,000 a month and felt like a relic. Each property ran something different. The analyst spent their time learning the systems instead of running them.
The Realization
At BMO Capital Markets, Jack met Ross Piermarini — a leveraged finance analyst spending his days on manual data pulls for real estate clients. Different desks, same diagnosis. The person closest to the numbers was the furthest from the picture.
The Foundation
Jack and Ross brought in Artur Gaifutdinov, a software engineer from Avant who had seen the same gap from a different angle. They built symmetRE — not a better report, but a foundation. One place where the data lives, and from which everything else follows.
Where We're Headed
The original problem hasn't gone away. The AI wave has shifted the conversation, but it hasn't solved the underlying one. What a model can do depends entirely on what sits beneath it. symmetRE's mission is to be the trusted technology partner for asset managers at every stage — whether they're building their stack or scaling it.
